In my early thirties I felt that I had come to a cross roads professionally, I felt that I wanted to change professional direction. I remember my choices were to train to become a Montessori Teacher, Social worker or a Qualified Aromatheripist.
In 1983 I decided to begin my training with the Aromatherapy Associates London. The Aromatherapy treatment which I had been taught was pioneered by Micheline Arcier, professionally she was infuenced by Marguerite Maury and Dr Jaean Valnet who are top specialists in Aromatherapy in France.
I remember having to work really hard learning the Physiology and Anatomy but felt at ease with the rhythm of the massage treatment and the use of essential oils to enhance overall wellbeing. After receiving my diploma in 1985 and joining the International Federation ] of Aromatherapists (IFA), I gained experience working within the Sanctuary Woman’s health Spa as an Aromatheripist whilst also running my own private practice within the local community. For over 20 years Aromatherapy has been part of my professional and personal life.
