About Renée and Your Treatment:
Renée is trained in the Li-Style Tui Na practice and has 7 years of training and practice. She treats athletes as well as those with specific musculoskeletal problems or for general wellbeing.
Your treatment will include a full holistic health assessment including assessing your movement, posture and alignment along with your lifestyle and goals. You will receive after treatment care which will include health and lifestyle advice and may include an exercise or Qigong prescription.
I have been training in all aspects of the Li-Style Health and Martial Arts system for over 10 years, under Master Tony Swanson, Taoist Arts Organisation (TAO) Technical Director. The Li-Style is a comprehensive system, providing benefits across all aspects of everyday life.
In my Tui Na clinic, I bring together and synthesise all my training in Tai Chi and Qigong, together with my background training in healthcare, for a deeply holistic treatment, bespoke to each individual.
Tui Na, though relatively unknown in the West, in China is regarded as one of the main branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine alongside Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine and Qi Gong therapy.
Tui Na massage can be performed through clothing or directly on the skin, using various lifting, stretching, stroking, pushing and grasping massage techniques. These are accompanied by acupressure and joint manipulation resulting in a relaxing and powerfully energising treatment.
