I was one of the very early patients of CHC from the early ’80s when it was a one man band of Gill Howells. I have witnessed the practice developing and expanding over the years. I joined the reception team in 2004 and enjoyed working in a practice with a family feel. In the last couple of years under new ownership, the centre has become a 21st century establishment with a very pleasant environment and professionalism but it still maintains the family feel.
After finishing university in Belgrade (in my native Serbia), I came to London to improve my English and I am still at it! I worked in a large hotel in Kensington in the management department where I had opportunities to meet with celebrities, high ranking people and royalty, including her majesty the Queen. Moving on I spent three years in a city firm, Union International, before giving up full-time employment to become a full-time mum. When my daughter started secondary school I joined Blackheath Conservatoire of Music and Arts on a part-time basis on the front desk / reception and stayed for 11 and half years. From 2004 I have been happy working in CHC with practitioners and therapists always willing to give a helping hand and advice when needed. Although I suppose I should have retired a few years ago, but living just up the road in Blackheath, coming to work (which I still enjoy!) is like a home from home. So I hope to carry on still for a little while longer!
